The opportunities

In this role, it is crucial to provide leadership in the delivery and completion of GWW’s programmed works while ensuring safety, compliance with industry standards, and environmental protection. Building and maintaining high-performing delivery partnerships will be essential, as well as fostering a customer-centric culture and focusing on high performance and people development. This position plays a key role in positioning GWW as a leader in the water industry and delivering on the company's Service Delivery Strategy.

 

Responsibilities

·       Be a leader in promoting a safety-focused culture, ensuring safe activities, taking responsibility for the safety of all involved, reporting incidents and near misses, and participating in investigations.

·       Make sure all projects comply with relevant legislation and GWW policies and procedures.

·       Deliver projects and programs in accordance with stakeholders' requirements, managing contracts, procuring construction projects, tracking progress, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.

·       Manage project and program budgets, ensuring completion of financial management and project reporting, and reviewing and assessing progress claims and claims for variations from Delivery Partners.

·       Ensure projects are fully functional before handover, oversee handover to operational teams, prepare teams for safe and efficient operation, ensure accurate information, and conduct project reviews for improvement.

·       Represent and promote the organisation, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, prioritising safety and customer-centric project delivery, demonstrating key attributes outlined in the business strategy, embracing collaborative delivery models, and sharing knowledge through mentoring and coaching.

Skills & Experience

·       Degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) or equivalent

·       Working collaboratively in delivery partnerships to deliver successful programs of work

·       Program & Project Management and using project management tools

·       Design and construction of assets

·       Management of construction contracts

·       Experience in managing safety on construction sites and/or maintenance workplaces

·       Financial/ budget management
