Our Vacancy

SUEZ Water ANZ is seeking a Technical Compliance Officer for Prospect Water Filtration Plant located in Wetherill Park. This role involves providing operational support for quality management systems, assisting with laboratory operations, and ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance. The position also requires preparing reports and invoices and supporting incident investigations and process improvements.

Your primary duties will include:

Integrated Management Systems

• Support the Technical Coordinator in ensuring that the necessary processes for the quality system are established, implemented, and maintained.
• Assist in maintaining an effective document management system for the lab.
• Conduct internal audits on plant and laboratory procedures and as per the site audit schedule and follow up on outstanding actions established in audits.
• Support the operational team in the preparation for and during the audit process for certification/licence verification audits.
• Ensure site drawing register is maintained (drawings updated onto site systems and locations).
• Assist the Process Safety Lead to ensure plant management systems (QMS, EMS, OH&S, MHF) meet the requirements for certification.

Process and Engineering

• Validating quality results, including the verification of tests done by Technicians.
• Assist in monitoring plant operation and quality compliance using SCADA.
• Undertake research projects and assist in incident investigations.

Laboratory

• Assist in efficient operation of the plant’s lab.
• Manage lab instrumentation, including maintenance and calibration.
• Stock management of lab consumables.

Environmental

• Carry out regulatory testing and reporting requirements (e.g. trade waste and environmental activities as per the site EPL).

Reporting

• Preparing reports as requested for safety, regulatory, client, data, operations, and invoices.

What you can bring to the team

• Experience with IMS – Integrated Management Systems (desirable).
• Tertiary qualifications in Science/Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality management systems.
• Strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
